"My" library has a blog now. I post sometimes there, too. It's in German, but I thought I'd share the link anyway: KÖB Ormesheim.
A few other observations:
I know the "Twilight" books are a great hit now in Germany, and after the movies came out, everyone knows they exist. I love those books, don't get me wrong. But just because they're successful now, it doesn't mean any fantasy book mentioning werewolves or vampires is a "ripoff of Twilight" or "like Twilight". Especially if the book in question was published years/decades before Twilight.
If you're told to find something about Karl Marx for your history homework, chances are the teacher doesn't mean "have your older cousin print out the Wikipedia page and refuse to read it because you have something better to do". Although I cannot be sure about that, I don't really know that teacher.
And, most important: There might be snow this weekend. I've been waiting for that since early November.

I just passed my very exam this morning.
Which means that, while I still have to wait for the official document, I more or less have my degree now.
Not too sure whether I'm happy or scared by that...

...I wanted to wait with changing the style of my journal until next week, when I start with all my other decorations.
But I couldn't resist any longer.
(Am still unsure whether I'll actually manage to wait with the other decorations)

I finished this year's Christmas calendar story for my cousins and friends last week, and since that means I don't write anything at the moment, I decided to sign on for the "Christmas Cracker Advent" at Metamorfic_moon.
Prompts are just what I need, I think, because I still find it easy to write while also learning for university - and I am learning for an exam :-)So hopefully this time, there'll be both art and fic from me. Let's see how well it goes.

You know you're not quite informed about books (or movies) if you walk into a public library and say: "WAIT, someone wrote a BOOK about these Harry Potter movies???"
Same thing, if you ask for "THE Christmas story, that most famous one, but illustrated for children", don't be surprised if librarians give you a picture book about the one from the BIBLE and not "A Christmas Carol" by Dickens.

First of all, thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!
It was great...not least of all because of ( that one present )

Another exam done.
Only one oral one left until I finish university, which is a weird feeling. Anyway, now the worst is over I guess. Never again two exams within two weeks, which lead to my virtual absence during the last month (If not for Hermine the guinea pig, I wouldn't have posted at all.
Now I hope I'll find a little more time...

If two television stations, which are both belonging to the same network, are publishing the election results at pretty much the same time, and they both claim the same source...why do these results vary by up to 0,5 percent?
My cousin Kathie wrote a pretty little HP songfic, which I thought I'd recommend to you.
She's 15, and is learning English at school, so this is both fun and practice for her...anyway, here's the link:

You know, I'm never really sure whether I learn enough for my exams, because everyone else keeps telling me "I did 6 hours yesterday" and such, and I definitely didn't learn THAT long.
But I think it's a sure sign of having done enough when you end up dreaming about watching a movie about one of your exam topics.
Okay, it was a weird movie in a weird dream, but actually had all the facts right. Guess I did learn a lot yesterday :-)

If you are unorganised, never try studying at a university.Or at least not at mine.
I'm a very organised person usually, plan everything weeks and months in advance, and yet I always end up knowing nothing and having to listen to my profs telling me I should've informed myself better, earlier, and am unorganised. At least that's the way it seems to me.
And I would think it's all me if I didn't know other people who study/studied completely different subjects at the same university and had similar problems.
Sorry, I'm just annoyed right now.

...which means 111 days left until Christmas.
But the cookies are here anyway. For the first time this year, I just saw gingerbread and every kind of Christmas sweets at our local store.
Maybe my uncle was right. They do start selling the Christmas stuff before these cherry pralines you never get in summer are back on the shelves.

...not really, but sometimes I think I should make it a category for my journal.
Someone commented a photo of my elementary school class I posted at WKW (kind of like a German Facebook) with "Children in the DDR really had it hard...look at these trousers".
Er...parts of Germany were once the DDR, but the part I live in definitely never was. Actually, we're so "West Germany", if you go any further west, you end up in France or Luxemburg.
Also, my first day at school was AFTER the reunion of Germany, which means the DDR didn't exist any more at that time.
Think first, then post comments.
Or maybe stop sleeping through history lessons.
Or do not try to discern the country someone comes from by the clothes they wear at the age of six. Chances are we just thought those pink trousers were so PRETTY :-D

I spent the weekend in Munich, and have some random observations:
( Here's what I think )
And a random observation not made in Munich: Why are the guys who try flirting with me always more than 30 years older than me and have a really screwed idea of what a compliment is??? I mean "you tie your hair back" is hardly what I would consider one...hmmm.

Just now, first my cats decided to have a fight while I tried feeding them. I separated them, but dropped my handbag into cat food in the process.
Then I wanted to feed my sister's hamster, because she has so much university work at the moment. First he tried to escape, so I put him into his little box (the one for transports) and he peed in it, so I had to clean them.
Now one of the cats is on the balcony, trying to claw his way through the fly screen.
I really love my pets. But today they seem to be set on annoying me.

After just about everyone else already posted a review, I had to add a few thoughts I had when seeing HBP last night.
